Twelve years, three countries, no advertising
40+ organisations have trusted us with something that mattered to them. Every single one arrived because somebody else recommended us, which is the only endorsement we have ever really wanted.
How we got here
2014: We start in Singapore
Incorporated in Singapore on 4 February 2014 as a web, hosting and cloud services shop for small organisations, the ones everyone else considered too small to serve.
2015: The Hangar, and the first Certainty
Incubated at NUS Enterprise's The Hangar, we built a shift-scheduling system called Certainty and later scrapped it. The name came back in the 2020s as the second half of DigiHwy Certainty, and in 2016 we launched a procurement marketplace from The Hangar.
2018: Malaysia
Emil Ng relocated to Malaysia and hired our first full-time developer, Fakhzan Azwan. The Malaysian tech team started in Petaling Jaya.
2020: Social service agencies
During COVID-19, social service agencies became our main focus: emergency tech for a migrant-worker health charity and a free hub for churches going online.
2021: Subang Jaya, and dementia care
The Malaysian team moved into our SS15, Subang Jaya office. Our partnership with a national dementia care organisation began: AWS infrastructure, a hotline, case management and a caregiver app.
2023: The Philippines
Emil joined DigiHwy in Iloilo, founded in 2021 by Joemer and Teofy Decatoria as IOT Digital Hiway Inc. Satellite internet and solar pilots followed in two island barangays, and in December, internet and a delegate app for a national youth jamboree of about 40,000 delegates.
2024: DigiHwy Certainty
In May, the Singapore and Malaysia team and DigiHwy Philippines came together as DigiHwy Certainty. From November, we worked with a green building certification body in Malaysia.
2025: JoinNests, and six GIDA sites
JoinNests launched, software for associations built with them rather than at them. In Panay, a regional government programme funded Wi-Fi for six GIDA areas, and we took on a municipal managed network in Guimaras.
Today: One team, three countries
One team across Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, with the same promise: you own what we build for you, and the price is the price.
Where we work, and what we do there
The three countries are not three copies of the same business. Each one grew around a different problem.
Singapore
Software & platforms
Singpass integration, crisis lines, case management, multilingual portals and web apps for social service agencies, associations and SMEs.
Malaysia
Software & advisory, since 2018
Web and mobile apps, payment rails, internal tools and the IT audits that sometimes talk people out of all three.
Philippines
Hardware & access
Devices, connectivity and in-person job coaching for rural communities the commercial telcos deprioritised.
