Many regions have intermittent or unreliable internet connectivity, and the Philippines is one of them. An application that assumes a perfect connection does not serve the people who need it most.
Built for a signal that comes and goes
The Western Visayas Investment Guide mobile app was developed with NEDA Region VI and launched by the DEPDev Region VI Council. At the 18th National Scout Jamboree in Passi City, a low-connectivity app carried information to delegates while we ran satellite internet for the Grand Arena and a subcamp with DICT. Both had to work where the signal did not. Quoted in pesos.
